Balinese sculpting culture is of an ancient origin : even before the Hindu religion arrived in Bali, its primitive inhabitants already practiced a polytheism religion worshipping plural gods, and with the arrival of the Hindu beliefs from India, Bali started developing its sculpture traditions even further. In Bali you can find sculptures and reliefs simply everywhere : from next-door neighbors's worshipping altar in the garden to demon guardian reliefs on the walls, from giant sculptures for traditional ceremonies to ancient statues from the past centuries.
