Album : Balinese Architecture
The Balinese Architecture is a mélange between the Hindu culture which arrived in Bali about the first hundred years A.D. and the more ancient architecture of the primitive inhabitants of the island. In some ways, this kind of architecture resembles the ancient constructions we find often around Central and East Java. The Balinese architecture has for characteristics many reliefs and carvings, high gates, spacious rooms and large windows allowing a lot of daylights to penetrate inside the buildings.
